Kisii University Student Union, In its efforts to offer service within the boundaries of the universities and beyond the scouting movement not even once expected to be honored for their efforts. With the core mandate of offering service to whoever and whomever needs without any reservations the movement had been working tirelessly to ensure many things go right in events for over four years.

The scouting spirit which has eternally been resonating in the members, giving them the confidence to serve, the devotion to sacrifice and the zeal to withstand any and all storms that came their way while forging their path to greatness.

Being the club of the year notwithstanding, the movement has been crowned three consecutive times as the East & Central African scouts champions. KSU scouts have been in the frontline to champion for peace through Initiatives like 196 touching over 20 African countries. The club planted over 300,000 trees in the 2015/2016 period as a gift to nature and to Kenyans in this difficult times of environmental degradation and global warming. In addition, the sent a representative nominated to head the Kenyan contingent team in the African Scouts Jamboree held in Ivory Coast in 2016. These and many others are some of the contributions that elevated the scouting movement to be crowned Student Association of the year, Kisii University.

Student of the Year Award and Emerging student leader of the Year were won by Nellie Gichuhi and Brian Onyango respectively. The University through the Dean of Students office has come up with several awards to motivate and inspire students to bring out the best in them and provide solution to the challenged society.
