Catholic University Of Eastern Africa Academic Calendar, The University recognizes that Academic Year constitutes two (2) Semesters of 4 months’ duration each. This is consistent with programme duration as per the CUE University Standard and Guidelines. Total units done shall range from 12 to 16 in an Academic Year.
GSS and all Law Students shall be expected to mandatorily take a break (long holiday) after two semesters and resume back thereafter.
After consultation with Deans’ Committee, GSS from the following Faculties who had been enrolled in May 2017 & May 2018, will be in session: –
- Faculty of Science
- Faculty of Education
- School of Business
- Centre for Social Justice and Ethics
and will proceed for long break during the May-July 2019 session.
The following under GSS sponsorship will proceed for long break in January – April 2019 session: –
- Faculty of Law (note: All May Intake including Self Sponsored Students)
- Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
and resume on 5th May 2019.
Self-sponsored students are not inhibited from continued studies, subject to availability of units desired. GSS students wishing to continue without break shall be expected to register and pay as self-sponsored.
This notice supersedes that of 10th January 2019 and arrangements in Gaba Campus remain unchanged.
