Mount Kenya University In Rwanda, only two decades ago, Rwanda,a small, land-locked country in Central Africa was the epicentre of one of the worst pogroms in human history. Over 800,000 people were killed in a three month orgy of violence now remembered as “Genocide Mount Kenya University RwandaAgainst Tustis.” Fast forward to 2014 and Rwanda is the veritable phoenix that rose from the ashes. It has become a model country not only in East Africa but the entire continent. Its governance system, economic opportunities, efficiency, cleanliness and general order have become the barometer against which other countries are measuring their success.
At the heart of this progress is Mount Kenya University-Kigali Campus, which introduced the first International Executive MBA programme to enable the country harness its human resource potential to the full. Kigali, the capital of Rwanda is a vibrant, undulating land replete with youthful talent and energy. Kigali Campus was opened in 2010. It operates from three locations: Kicukiro, Camp Kigali and Town Center. It was conceived in response to the high demand for human resource capital in East Africa’s youngest economy.
Within the short period of time, the Campus has etched its name in high education provision for its health science and executive MBA programmes. It continues to play an important role as the country transitions from Francophone to Anglophone.
