Kisii University Students Accident, A fourth year student undertaking Business and Commerce at Kisii University, who was hit by a speeding vehicle along Mwembe-Kisii road while heading to church, has been buried.
Winnie Nyanchama, the young and promising lady died in a tragic accident and was buried in her home, Botori village, Suneka.
Kisii University Union President Rodgers Nanyumba, speaking during the burial, aske the county government to erect bumps along Kisii-Migori road since it is often used by students.
“This is the second incident in this month after we lost another comrade on the same road. I urge the county government to erect bumps and arrest reckless drivers,” he said.
Rodgers who led the Kisii University fraternity in mourning their lost hero eulogised the deceased as a hardworking and cooperative student.
Also in attendance was Kisii University Chaplain Rev Lawrence Atambo, who asked students to be prayerful during the trying moment.
He further urged the drivers to observe traffic rules while using the busy Kisii-Migori road and be mindful of others using the road.
