The school was started in 1969 on a piece of land donated by a white settler then speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Sir Humphrey Slade. A stable was converted into a girls’ dormitory, a staffroom and administrative offices. It hosted seven (7) Girls and a headmaster. Over the years, this school has grown into a three, four,five and is currently moving into a six streamed school with form 1 and already compliant.
