Daystar University Theology, In response to various enquiries from professionals who serve in the ministry and want to deepen their theological understanding, Daystar University has come up with a program to meet this need. The program dubbed “Theology for Ministry” consists of six modules offered by the Institute of Leadership and Professional Development (ILPD).
Objective of the program
The objective of the program is to equip professionals who serve in the ministry with basic theology that will enhance their ministry effectiveness both in the church as well as in the market place.
Structure of the program
This is a 6 modular program to be covered in 6 months. Each module consists of 16 contact hours to be done in 8 two-hour sessions so as to cover a module in a month. The modules are designed to stand-alone and therefore there is no module that is a pre-requisite of the other
Who is the program meant for?
Professionals who are active in the market place and serve in the church as elders, deacons, counsellors, pastors’ spouses or even pastors yet have a desire for a deeper theological understanding.
Program content The six-modular program is broken into 2 stages whose contents:
Stage one 1. Biblical survey
2. Bible doctrine survey
3. Hermeneutics and homiletics Stage two
4. Survey of church history
5. Christian worldviews
6. Christian service and contemporary issues
