2016 Admission Forms For Maasai Mara University
The Admissions Office is charged with the responsibility of admitting and registering new students into the wide range of competitive and market driven programmes offered at Maasai Mara University.
2016 Maasai Mara University INTAKE
Regular Programmes: Admissions take place in January, May and September of every year.
School Based Programmes: Admissions take place in April, August and December of every year.
General Minimum Admission Requirements
Applicants admitted into programmes offered at Maasai Mara University must meet the following general minimum entry requirements in addition to specific subject requirements for each programme.
A. Certificate Programmes
- Minimum mean grade of a D+ at KCSE or equivalent
B. Diploma Programmes
- 1 year Diploma programmes require a minimum mean grade of C plain at KCSE
- 2 year Diploma programmes require a minimum mean grade of C- (minus) at KCSE
- 3 year Diploma programmes (Diploma in Primary Education /Diploma in Secondary Education) require a minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE
- In addition, applicants must meet the specific subject requirements for each programme
C. Undergraduate Programmes
- Minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE OR
- 2 principals and 1 subsidiary pass at “A” level OR
- A Diploma in a relevant field of study from a recognized institution.
- In addition, applicants must meet the specific subject requirements for each programme
D. Masters Programmes
- Bachelors Degree, Second Class (Upper Division) in a relevant field of study or its equivalent from a recognized University OR
- Bachelors Degree, Second class Honors (Lower Division), with at least two years post qualification work experience OR
- Bachelors Degree with a Pass and a Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field of study.
E. PhD Programmes
- Masters degree in a relevant field of study, from a recognized University.

Step 2: Duly completed application forms should be returned to any of the offices indicated above, accompanied with a non-refundable fee of Ksh.500/= for Certificate and Diploma courses, Ksh.1,000/= for undergraduate programmes and Ksh.2,000/=for Postgraduate programmes. Payment can be made through bankers cheque or paid directly to any of the following University accounts:
