JKUAT New re-scheduled opening dates for May, August, September semester, 2017
Below is a statement from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) on the rescheduled opening dates for May, August, September semester, 2017. The rescheduling occurred due to the lecturers strike ongoing.
RESCHEDULING OF MAY-AUGUST SEMESTER TO SEPTEMBER 2017.
Due to the dispute between Universities staff and the Government over unpaid salary arrears and the subsequent lack of meaningful teaching/learning in the University, the University Senate Board of Examiners meeting held on 13th July, 2017 made the decision to reschedule the May-August Semester to begin September 2017.
As a result, all continuing students and the upcoming September intake cohort should take note of the following;
- The May-August semester has been rescheduled to begin on Wednesday, 6th September, 2017. All continuing students are expected to report on that date. This also applies to the students who were admitted in the May 2017 intake.
- New students admitted for the September intake are expected to report on Monday, 4th September 2017.
- All continuing students currently residing in the University hostels are consequently directed to clear with their housekeepers and await the September semester.
