The University has 3 intakes in a year: January, May and September. Applications for admission may be submitted any time within the year
Minimum Admission Requirements
Degree Programmes
KCSE Aggregate mean grade of C+ (plus) Or KACE or equivalent — 2 Principal Passes and one Subsidiary at A-level Or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent qualification or CPA/CPS part 1. Holders of CPA/CPS/CCP Part III or KNEC Higher National Diploma or Post Graduate Diploma in CIM or CIPS will be admitted to 3rd Year of the applicable degree programme. Holders of a two academic year diploma qualification will be admitted to the 2nd year of the respective degree programme.
Diploma Programmes
KCSE Grade of C-(minus) or Certificate in relevant discipline or equivalent qualification.
Pre-university
Two-trimesters upgrading programme meant to prepare candidates (with C plain in KCSE) for university education.
Certificate Programmes
KCSE Grade of D+ (plus) or Foundation Certificate in relevant discipline or equivalent qualification
Foundation Certificate Programmes
K.C.S.E mean grade D (Plain) or equivalent qualification
NB: Gretsa University is fully registered and accredited by the Commission for University Education(CUE) and therefore admitted students qualify for education loans by the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Credit transfers for Diploma and Professional Certificate holders and qualifications from other accredited institutions accepted.
