The Faculty is committed to the discovery and dissemination of knowledge about teaching and learning. We promote the view that to be a professional educator is to continue to question, to reflect, to seek knowledge, and to be open to change. The Faculty has expertise in a variety of areas including curriculum and pedagogy, multi-modal literacy’s, policy development, educational measurement, the educational needs of populations.

 OBJECTIVES

To fulfill its mission, the faculty has embraced the following key objects:

  • Promote high standards of teaching and learning at all levels
  • Encourage and promote innovations in the teaching-learning process in order to optimize learning
  • Update education staff with latest development in the field of education through research and in-service education and training programs

MODE OF STUDY

  1. a)SANDWICH/SCHOOL BASED MODULE

This module will be offered during the periods when the students are on automatic leave from their work place such as school holidays. The program shall be offered during the following times: April, August and December

  1. b) FULL TIME MODULE

This module shall be conducted on a full-time basis throughout the year. The full time students shall be required to register for 15-21 credit factors per session.
