Egerton University Nairobi City Campus is located at Stanbank House, Moi Avenue ─ 5th to the 10th floor. The first four floors (5th-8th) are lecture rooms, while the 9th floor is the administration offices and that of the Africa Center for Distance Education (ACDE).
The Campus has a modern Library and computer Lab resources located at the 10th floor.
The campus is headed by a Director, coordinators of various programmes and other administrative staff.
Four faculties offer their programmes in the campus namely; Faculty of Commerce, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the faculty of Education, and the Institute of Gender, Women and Development Studies.
The campus has and is making enormous strides in expanding infrastructure through acquisition of equipments and improving the working and learning environment for its staff and students.
History of Nairobi City Campus Library (NCC)
Egerton University Nairobi City Campus was established in 2011 .The campus is located at, Moi Avenue ,Stanbank House and is housed in five floor s( 5th to 10th floor) The Campus is headed by the Director. The Campus Library occupies the entire 10th floor.
The Library is headed by a Campus Librarian with seven other members of library staff who are professionally trained to address and meet the information needs of the clients.
(i) Vision
To become an excellent center for academic and research activities of the Egerton University Community, by providing a conducive environment for reading and learning at the campus level.
(ii) Mission
To support the teaching, learning and research needs of the University community at the campus by providing access to relevant information resources, disseminating research information and giving user- centered services
(iii) Objectives
The specific objectives of the Campus Library are in line with those of the University Library;
1. To select and acquire as economically and as expeditiously as possible materials which are pertinent to the Campus’s present and future teaching and research programs;
2. To organize the resulting collection in such a way that any member of the Campus may have easy access to them;
3. To provide access to information resources regardless of location or format;
4. To preserve and protect the collections for the benefit of future users;
5. To foster and maintain effective working relationships between the Campus Library and other campus departments;
6. To instruct patrons in the effective utilization of information resources through use of modern Information Technologies.
7. Use modern Information Technology to provide timely access to Information by all users to satisfy their present and future information needs

Library Catalogue (OPAC)
Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) – The library uses AMLIB, an Integrated Library Management System. There is a computer designated for students to access the OPAC.
Dean of Students Office.
The Dean of Students office plays a central role in defining the strong sense of community that bring together students, faculty, and staff across differences of racial and ethnic background, gender, class, and educational background. The dean of students’ office plans and directs university activities related to student support services and campus life including social programs for students. The office of a dean of students is generally responsible for serving as a point of information for students and responding to students’ needs. The dean of students also leases with the university administration, the student Union and other stakeholders in policy and decision making. The office generally deals with non-academic issues that may impact on the student’s academic life, the office initiatives include identification of students at risk and designing programs that encourage academic success. Basically the office is responsible for developing and overseeing programs that enable students to realize their fullest intellectual and personal potential. The dean also manages the office budget and develops office policies regarding student life program development.
The Dean of students department comprises of four sections:
- The Office of the Dean of Students
- The Counseling section
- The Chaplaincy Section
- The Sports and Games Section
Our objectives are:
- Offer counseling services to students to develop their social, psychological and spiritual capacities.
- Train students so as to enhance, develop and practice leadership skills.
- Offer recreational activities and participate in sports competitions to enable students develop their physical and social capabilities and encourage a sense of belonging.
- Identify and recommend needy students for bursaries and scholarships.
- Approve and audit student clubs and associations requests for registration.
- Organize workshops/trainings on various issues to enable student achieve their full potential.
- Conduct orientation session for first year students.
- Consult and work with other departments and faculties to address barriers which affect achievement of academic potential of students.
Mandate of the Dean of Students Department
- To develop, nurture and promote an enabling environment that supports and enhances both the academic pursuits and other development processes of students.
- To offer services that cater to the general well being of students
- To develop and implement programmes and activities that assist students to develop their physical, psychological, social, spiritual and leadership capabilities.
- To liase with other university departments and academic faculties to ensure that each and every student achieves his/her full potential and prepare them for the challenges of adulthood.
- To serve as an advocate for students by assuring that the interests of students are served in strategic aspects of university operations.
- Offer advises in cases of deferment
- Others as seen necessary for the welfare of students.
