The department was established in 2006 with two teaching staff and less than fifty students. The department has grown tremendously such that we now have nine teaching staff and over three hundred students. The department enjoys other facilities in the faculty of health sciences such as the Resource Center, the library and the Skills Laboratory. With the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the university and the Nakuru County Referral Hospital, our students are exposed to real life clinical challenges and situation in the effort to bridge the gap between the theory and practice.
